P. 16 · ROUTINE

The oily-skin balance.

Niacinamide 10%, gel moisturiser, fluid SPF. Skip the stripping toner; control sebum without dehydrating.

The steps.

  1. 01
    AM

    Gel cleanser, 30 seconds

    Sulfate-free, balanced pH

The most damaging mistake in oily-skin routines is over-cleansing. A short, balanced gel cleanser — without sulfates — clears the overnight sebum without triggering the rebound oil that follows a stripping wash.

  2. 02
    AM

    Niacinamide 10%

    Sebum control + tone

The most-replicated topical for sebum reduction. The 10% concentration is where the gland-modulation data lives; lower concentrations work primarily on tone and pigment. Apply to slightly damp skin.

    AM

    Lightweight gel moisturiser

    Glycerin + HA, no oils

Skipping moisturiser is the second-most-common oily-skin mistake — it triggers compensatory oil production. A water-gel with glycerin and hyaluronic acid hydrates without adding sebum, and 'finishes' the surface so SPF goes on cleanly.

    Fluid SPF 50, matte finish

    PA++++, no chemical heaviness

The new generation of fluid sunscreens — both mineral and chemical — give true SPF 50 protection without the heaviness that oily skin associates with sunscreen. Matte-finish formulations sit clean under makeup and resist mid-day shine without blotting paper rituals.
